Sound City: Real To Reel (RCA/Roswell), the album of all-new original songs created exclusively for Dave Grohl’s directorial debut Sound City, has won the Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
Additionally, “Cut Me Some Slack,” the album’s unforgettable single by Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, took home Best Rock Song honors during last night’s live telecast of the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
The awards bring Grohl’s career Grammy count to 15, including 11 for Foo Fighters, and one each for Nirvana and Them Crooked Vultures.
