Paul McCartney has received nominations in two categories of the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

Paul has won 18 GRAMMY Awards, including a previous Best Rock Song win for “Cut Me Some Slack,” his collaboration with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear from the Sound City: Real To Reel soundtrack LP.
ST. VINCENT’s Daddy’s Home has been nominated in the Best Alternative Album category of the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
St. Vincent is a two-time GRAMMY winner, having previously taken Best Alternative Album for her eponymous fourth album and Best Rock Song for “MASSEDUCTION.”
Foo Fighters have received nominations in three categories of the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
The nods for Best Rock Performance for “Making A Fire,” Best Rock Song for “Waiting On A War,” and Best Rock Album for Medicine at Midnight (Roswell/RCA) bring Foo Fighters’ career total GRAMMY nominations to 32.
Foo Fighters have won 12 GRAMMY Awards, including a record four wins for Best Rock Album (Wasting Light; Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace; One By One; There Is Nothing Left To Lose), two Best Rock Songs (“Walk” and “Run”), and a Best Rock Performance (“Walk”).
Hailed by Rolling Stone as an “LP-ending ode to joy,” Foo Fighters’ “Love Dies Young” is now both the epic finale of Medicine at Midnight and the album’s newest single.
But wait there’s more… “Love Dies Young” makes an additional splash as the latest Foo Fighters’ video—one that definitely takes writer/director Dave Grohl and the FF team into uncharted waters, but don’t worry — America’s favorite coach Jason Sudeikis is on hand to make sure things go swimmingly.
The “Love Dies Young” video premiered on MTV Live, MTVU and across MTV’s global network of channels, as well as on the ViacomCBS Times Square billboard.
Welcome to where time stands still — The Metallica Black Box
Metallica has announced the opening of The Metallica Black Box. Debuting with The Black Album Exhibition, the Black Box will offer an unprecedented and ongoing deep dive into every era of Metallica from the early 80s garage days up to its present status as multi-platinum, stadium-filling hard rock standard bearers.
James, Lars, Kirk and Robert will “unbox” their collections, pulling their favorite, most significant, and personally meaningful artifacts out of careful storage. Much more than a “gateway” to all things Metallica, The Metallica Black Box, in collaboration with Inveniem and Definitive Authentic, will provide access to the memories and experiences of the band members themselves, as it transports those who enter to virtually every imaginable time and place along the Metallica historical continuum. Features available exclusively in the Black Box will range from the virtual to the physical—from weekly livestream events to extremely limited signed memorabilia.
The Metallica Black Box launches with The Black Album Exhibition, featuring a collection of items curated to share in support of the 30th anniversary of the GRAMMY-winning, 16x platinum-certified 1991 album that not only gave Metallica its first #1 album in no fewer than 10 countries, including a 4-week run at #1 in the U.S., but remains unchallenged as the best-selling album in the history of Nielsen Soundscan, outselling every release in every genre over the past 30 years.
In the weeks, months, and years ahead, The Metallica Black Box will venture progressively deeper into the Metallica vaults. Its unfettered access will manifest in exhibitions and collections of rare artifacts and ephemera, never seen nor heard video/audio, and more — all dedicated to different facets of the Metallica experience: the sounds, the visuals, the instruments, the culture and beyond. These collections will allow the Metallica fan to experience the band’s story in a more personal way than ever before, providing behind-the-scenes insight into who Metallica is, was and will be…

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have announced a spring 2022 tour of North America.
In their first ever North American tour as a duo, Cave and Ellis will play 17 shows across the continent this March and April, following the release of their acclaimed album CARNAGE and a run of phenomenal shows across the UK and Europe in Fall 2021.
Tickets go on sale Friday, November 19 at 10am (local time) at nickcave.com.
While they have composed and recorded soundtracks together, and Ellis is a long-term member of The Bad Seeds, CARNAGE is the first entire album of songs the pair have released.
Cave and Ellis’ creative chemistry is rooted in their long history of music making, both as collaborators and as individual artists. They first crossed paths in 1993, when Ellis played violin on several songs for the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album Let Love In, before going on to join the band as a full-time member. The two have also recorded in Grinderman, formed in 2006, and have worked together on numerous film and TV scores.

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ new album CARNAGE is out now.
“Some heavy, tormented records that reflect the pulverizing grief of the post-pandemic world feel like they might crush a listener; others offer the consolation of a weighted blanket. CARNAGE, the first official album from Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds bandmate Warren Ellis, is the latter, rumbling toward catharsis through impenetrable noise and jarring lyricism balanced precariously on sudden celestial arrangements.” —THE NEW YORKER
“(4 stars)… two Bad Seeds confront loneliness, cabin fever, and white supremacy — while still showing a glint of optimism… as sparse as it sounds, there’s great depth to CARNAGE.” —ROLLING STONE
“… the pair find an awe-filled beauty in the both the minutiae of the everyday and the immensity of existence… a moving, transportive meditation on what comes after—after grief, after life, after love—and finds reasons to keep going.” —AV CLUB
“… at turns brutal, surreal, and romantic… draws from the formal language of modern cinema, concerned less with verses and choruses than images, settings, visceral portrayals of extreme emotional states.” —PITCHFORK
“It’s been a hell of a year, and perhaps a glimpse of heaven is a better prescription than a war cry… what Cave and Ellis have crafted with CARNAGE is a refreshing respite from chaos, a record that sits at the burning edge of dawn and anticipates destruction’s undoing.” —CONSEQUENCE
“… stunningly, heartbreakingly beautiful… CARNAGE is brutal in a spiritual sense more than a stylistic one, approaching these moments of elemental beauty only after traversing rocky ground.” —STEREOGUM
THE NEARER THE FOUNTAIN, MORE PURE THE STREAM FLOWS
APPEARING TONIGHT ON THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON
“… the perfect soundtrack for a time when the world is .. emerging from the storm.” – Rolling Stone
“… the acid wit of Damon Albarn’s earlier work further peels away to reveal contemplative lyrics about the passage of time, among other openhearted ideas, set against a shimmering musical backdrop of strings and synth textures.” —The New York Times
“Backed by the sounds of crashing waves and blissed-out ambient textures, the singer has never sounded so deeply in touch with nature — and with himself.” —Entertainment Weekly
Damon Albarn’s second solo album is out now. The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows is finally released today by Transgressive Records, along with new track Darkness To Light —which Damon will perform this evening on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Originally conceived as an orchestral piece inspired by the landscape of Iceland, The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows evolved during lockdown to the 11 new tracks included on the album. Albarn has performed the record in full at sold-out shows throughout the summer, a highlight being a headline show and global live stream from the iconic Shakespeare’s Globe in September, and he will perform a select number of solo piano dates in the UK for the first time next month. This run of very special shows, presented in association with local record stores, will start on 2nd December in York Minster ahead of Norwich, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Glasgow and Coventry. The stripped back solo set will feature Albarn performing tracks from his new album, as well as selected favorites from across his songbook, for a series of short, intimate piano performances.
In a career of perpetual musical shifts and exploration, this new record uncovers yet more ground, finding expansive orchestral arrangements nestling with intimate melodies, discordance brushing up against infectious majesty, all set to some of Albarn’s most arresting vocal performances to date. Much like the beauty and chaos of the natural world it soundtracks, The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows vividly documents the emotional ebb and flow of the human condition, in all its extremes, serving as a soul enriching document for our times.
To mark the album release, Damon Albarn – The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows, a special guest takeover at the Eranda Studio at The Photographers’ Gallery, London, powered by Amazon Music, will open for a limited run from 12th November – 21st November 2021. A studio space, curated by Anna Sparham, showcasing source materials and inspirations behind the new album, featuring unseen artwork, photography and film footage, plus Albarn’s own sketches and lyrics. Ticket and information here.
Also available today is new track Darkness To Light“…a deliciously sad ballad about the Arctic winter in which ‘Crushed satellites dance/In silent conga…’” (UNCUT). Listen here. To accompany the song’s release, a track visualizer of Darkness To Light is available today on YouTube. Watch here.
Damon Albarn is a singer, songwriter, producer and composer whose eclectic musical style and observational lyrics have made him one of the UK’s most influential and consistently interesting musicians.
A founder member of Blur, Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad & The Queen, he is the recipient of six Brits, two Ivor Novello Awards and a Grammy Award.
Outside of Blur and Gorillaz, Albarn has a number of other releases, including Mali Music (2002), The Good The Bad and The Queen (2006), Monkey: Journey to the West (2007), Kinshasa One Two (2011), Rocket Juice & The Moon (2012), Dr Dee (2012), Africa Express Presents: Maison Des Jeunes (2013), Africa Express Presents: The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians (2016), Merrie Land (2018), Africa Express Presents: Egoli (2019), as well as his Mercury Award-nominated debut solo album Everyday Robots (2014).

Radiohead and Epic Games Publishing are proud to present KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION: an upside-down digital/analog universe created from original artwork by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood and sound design by Nigel Godrich to commemorate 21 years of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac albums.
KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION will be available beginning November 18th as a free download for PlayStation 5 (HERE), PC and Mac at EPIC GAMES STORE. A trailer is now live at: https://youtu.be/AOinMjQ9jo8
Some two years in the making, KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION was originally conceived as a physical installation debuting in London and designed for portability, for possible travel to New York, Tokyo, Paris and so on.
A confluence of events including but not limited to laws of zoning and physics and Covid-19 would conspire to thwart those best laid plans, moving KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION beyond the physical world. Thom and Stanley, along with Kid A and Amnesiac producer Nigel, would join forces with video/computer artist and creative director Sean Evans, theatre set designer Christine Jones, interactive producer Matthew Davis, his studio [namethemachine], and game developers Arbitrarily Good Productions to reimagine KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION in a non-corporeal form that would enhance and emphasize the inseparable nature of these sounds and visions. Finally, Epic Games Publishing would be enlisted to put it all out into the world.
Everything experienced within KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION is sourced directly from the original artwork and multitrack recordings of those fourth and fifth Radiohead albums—all rebuilt from the original elements in a new controlled space without the limitations of stereo sound or LP/CD packaging.
KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION can be considered a mutant re-engineering of KID A MNESIA, the multiple format triple-album release marking the 21st anniversary of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac albums, released November 5th via XL Recordings. KID A MNESIA collects Radiohead’s fourth and fifth albums alongside the debut of a newly compiled third disc titled Kid Amnesiae. Exclusive to this release, Kid Amnesiae is comprised of unearthed material culled from the Kid A / Amnesiac sessions. Along with alternate versions and elements of Kid A and Amnesiac album tracks and B-Sides, Kid Amnesiae features the never-before-heard “If You Say the Word” (available now as a digital single) and a previously unreleased studio recording of “Follow Me Around.”
Open Road Films Acquires Worldwide Rights to Horror Comedy STUDIO 666, Starring Foo Fighters
Wide Domestic Theatrical Release set for February 25, 2022
Open Road Films has acquired worldwide rights to horror comedy STUDIO 666, starring Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett & Rami Jaffee. The all-star cast also includes Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega and Jeff Garlin. The film, directed by BJ McDonnell, is set for a wide domestic theatrical release in 2,000+ theatres on February 25, 2022. The film’s international release date will be announced soon.
The announcement was made by Open Road’s Tom Ortenberg and Foo Fighters.
In STUDIO 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.
“After decades of ridiculous music videos and numerous music documentaries under our collective belts, it was finally time to take it to the next level… A full length feature horror comedy film,” said Dave Grohl. “Like most things Foo, STUDIO 666 began with a far fetched idea that blossomed into something bigger than we ever imagined possible. Filmed at the same house where we recorded our latest album “Medicine at Midnight” (told you that place was haunted!) we wanted to recapture the classic magic that all of our favorite rock and roll movies had, but with a twist: hilarious gore that fucking ROCKS. And now, with the help of Tom Ortenberg and the team at Open Road Films we can finally let this cat out of the bag after keeping it our best kept secret for two years. Be ready to laugh, scream, and headbang in your popcorn. STUDIO 666 will fuck you up.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Foo Fighters for a movie sure to make audiences scream and laugh,” said Ortenberg. “The Foos bring their comedic chemistry and the musical talent we all love to the big screen in this hysterical horror film.”
Commented director BJ McDonnell: “STUDIO 666 is a perfect combination of all things I love. Rock, horror, and comedy all tied together in a very thrilling motion picture. I am so excited to have teamed up with the Foo Fighters to create an old school “Band” movie. It’s been years since we’ve seen something like the Beatles “Help!”, The Monkees “Head”, or “KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park”. Take that 60’s / 70’s old school band film fun, mix it with horror and STUDIO 666 is born! I am so ecstatic for audiences of film and music to come together and enjoy our film.”
“Over the past decade we have had the good fortune to collaborate with Foo Fighters on a variety of great projects,” said producers John Ramsay and James A. Rota. “Whether it be documentary films, TV series or music videos, they always bring their great talents and legendary sense of humor. STUDIO 666 takes this to a whole new level and we couldn’t be more proud of this movie. We can’t wait to share it with the world.
Based on a story by Dave Grohl and screenplay by Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes, STUDIO 666 is produced by Roswell Films’ and Therapy Studios’ John Ramsay & James A. Rota. Executive Producers are John Silva, Kristen Welsh, John Cutcliffe, Gaby Skolnek, Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, James Masciello, Matthew Sidari, Mitchell Zhang and Tom Ortenberg.
The deal was negotiated by Tom Ortenberg and Matthew Sidari on behalf of Open Road Films and by WME Independent on behalf of the filmmakers.
ABOUT OPEN ROAD FILMS: In a partnership with Raven Capital Management, industry veteran Tom Ortenberg relaunched Open Road Films, of which Ortenberg was formerly the Founding CEO. Key past Open Road titles include the Academy Award winner for Best Picture Spotlight, The Grey, Chef, The Nut Job, End of Watch and Nightcrawler. Most recently Open Road released back-to-back Liam Neeson box office hits Honest Thief and The Marksman, as well as CopShop starring Gerard Butler. Open Road is set to open Foo Fighters horror comedy Studio 666 on February 25, 2022.
