SOLD OUT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN ONE-OFF  TO BE FOLLOWED BY NINE-DATE MAY 2011 TOUR

In the wake of a December 11, 2010 Madison Square Garden one-off that sold out in 30 minutes and was described by The New York Times as “the kind of spectacle that has made Rammstein an arena and festival headliner across Europe,” RAMMSTEIN will return to North America for its first tour of the continent in 10 years.

The German sextet will play nine headlining arena dates beginning May 5 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford NJ and making stops in Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Edmonton, Tacoma, Oakland and Los Angeles before concluding May 21 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas NV.

BROKEN BELLS: MEYRIN FIELDS EP OUT MARCH 29

Available for Pre-Order Now at Brokenbells.com

James Mercer and Brian Burton a/k/a Danger Mouse, collectively known as Broken Bells, will issue a four-song EP titled Meyrin Fields on March 29, 2011. The EP features the previously unreleased tracks “Windows” and “Heartless Empire,” as well as “An Easy Life” and the title track. Meyrin Fields will be available a little over a year from the March 2010 release of Broken Bells’Grammy-nominated self-titled debut, and will be issued in vinyl, CD, softpack and digital formats.

Meyrin Fields is available for pre-order now at Brokenbells.com. NPR will premiere the track “Windows” beginning March  7 .

Broken Bells’ self titled debut album has sold over 300,000 copies domestically since its March 9, 2010 Columbia Records release, nearly 50,000 of which were moved in its first week—landing the record at #7 on the Billboard 200. In addition to being 2010’s highest charting debut album by an alternative/rock band,  Broken Bells met with a unanimously positive critical reception:  Rolling Stone hailed the album as “the year’s coolest left field pop disc” in a 4-star lead review, while Wired described it as “crazy good stuff”  and Entertainment Weekly praised it as a “subtly savory sonic morsel.” More recently, Broken Bells came in at #5 in NPR’s 2010 year-end listeners poll.

Broken Bells’ genesis can be traced back to longtime mutual fans Burton and Mercer first face to face meeting at the 2004 Roskilde Festival in Copenhagen. The pair immediately hit it off and kept in touch until May 2008 when the finally seized the opportunity to finally collaborate on original music together. Meyrin Fields is the latest product of this amazing union, which will continue to record and tour together for the foreseeable future.

WHITE RABBITS JOIN NASTY LITTLE MAN FAMILY

Nasty Little Man is excited and pleased to announce the latest addition to the family: White Rabbits!

See why NPR has raved “…Winning over fans with its energetic live shows — thanks in part to its unusual two-drummer lineup…Intense rhythms and sweeping, melodic choruses typify White Rabbits” catchy and often sinister sound,” as the Brooklyn-based sextet hits the road for a short run of underplays to iron out new songs before heading into the studio to record their tbd records follow up to 2009″s critically acclaimed It”s Frightening.

Last night at their sold-out Hoboken NJ show at Maxwell”s the band debuted 5 new songs alongside fan favorites to an enthusiastic and packed crowd.

The next four shows are likely to be your last chance to check out the band before their third record comes out later this year.

ARTWORK UNVEILED  FOR NEW ALBUM WASTING LIGHT OUT APRIL 12

“White Limo” Video Approaching One Million Views at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebJ2brErERQ

Beginning today, February 23, “Rope”–the single that Rolling Stone ranks #1 on its current Hot List and hails as a “hairy-testicled, devil-dicked atomic beast”–has become the first full taste of Foo Fighters’ upcoming Wasting Light to impact the internet and the airwaves. The song is currently streaming at foofighters.com and http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=191618494205417

“Rope” will be available beginning March 1 both as a digital single and as an instant grat with iTunes pre-orders of Wasting Light.

Wasting Light will be released April 12 on Roswell/RCA. The band recently unveiled the artwork to its seventh full length studio opus, which features the core Foo Fighters quintet of Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear.

Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, Wasting Light was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Grohl’s home in California’s San Fernando Valley. The no computers/no software back to basics approach has resulted in arguably the strongest and most cohesive effort of the band’s 15-year-plus career: From  the opening one-two punch of “Bridge Burning” and lead single “Rope” to the beautifully bipolar “These Days” to stunning guest spots from Bob Mould (“Dear Rosemary”) and Krist Novoselic (“I Should Have Known”), Wasting Light is a singular triumph: a band that’s headlined arenas, stadiums and festivals the world over stripping itself down to the bare essentials and coming up with a world class band’s finest hour.

Concurrent with the album’s release, Exclusive Media Group’s documentary division Spitfire Pictures are producing a feature documentary about the Foo Fighters directed by Academy Award winner James Moll (The Last Days, Running The Sahara).  Co-produced and co-financed by Exclusive Media Group and RCA Records, Moll’s documentary chronicles the entire history of the Foo Fighters, from the cassette demos Grohl recorded during his tenure as Nirvana’s drummer through their ascent to their Grammy-winning, multi-platinum, arena and stadium headlining status as one of the biggest rock bands on the planet.   This chronicling of the Foo Fighters’ triumphs and tragedies  culminates in an in-depth behind the scenes perspective on the making of the new album: A process in which the band pushed itself forward by returning to its roots and recording in Grohl’s garage completely on analog tape.

THIRD MAN RECORDS JOINS THE NASTY LITTLE MAN FAMILY

New Green Series 45s From Jerry King and Amy Walker Out Now
New Blue Series 45s From Pokey LaFarge and We Are Hex Out Mid-March

nasty little man is proud and elated to welcome Jack White and Third Man Records to our family.

The alliance coincides neatly with Third Man’s February 22 release of two new installments of its spoken word/instructional Green Series. Joining the esteemed company of past Green Series participants BP Fallon and Conan O’Brien is Amy Walker, an actress known worldwide for her expertise in the field of replicating accents from all over the globe, as evidenced by the 5 million-plus views of her “21 Accents” video on YouTube–not to mention appearances on the Today Show and Inside Edition.

The A-side of Amy’s Green Series single showcases her wide selection of different accents, both in an improvisational rolling internal dialogue and a reading from a random article in the local newspaper, each sentence in a different inflection. The B-side features her being interviewed by Jack White on a variety of topics. The Amy Walker single will be released in an unprecedented 30 different sleeves, each one depicting Amy as a different persona or character.

Also out this week is a Green Series 45 from from Fletcher, NC master auctioneer Jerry King. Whether selling farm equipment, real estate, vintage autos or homemade baked goods, Jerry is truly one of the world’s greatest auctioneers.  Jerry’s single starts off with a fascinating 8-minute interview conducted by Jack White that probes deep into the history, cadence, rhythm and speed of Jerry’s auctioneering. The flipside is both a vinyl rarity and a first for Third Man: 2 separate tracks on 2 separate grooves. Depending on where the listener drops the needle, he or she will be greeted with Jerry King setting up one of two hypothetical auctions:  an automobile auction or a tobacco/chocolate cake auction.

Both the Jerry King and Amy Walker Green Series 45s will be available via the Third Man Records store, in all fine independent record stores, and iTunes worldwide on February 22nd. Details will be available soon re: limited edition Tri Color editions of these singles.

The middle of March will mark the release of two more singles from Third Man’s Blue Series: Pokey LaFarge And The South City Three’s “Chittlin’ Cookin’ Time in Cheatham County”/“Pack It Up” and We Are Hex’s “Twist The Witch’s Titty” / “Through The Doldrums To The Dum Dums”

Hailing from St. Louis MO, Pokey LaFarge is a traditional American music purist who dabbles in everything from jazz, string ragtime, country blues, and western swing. Musically timeless and stylistically original, Pokey and his band blend all of these styles of music into something new and swinging. His booming voice has an incredible range that has to be heard to believed.

Since 2009, Indianapolis IN’s We Are Hex has written and recorded on their own frequency from their home and studio, The Hex Hause. Described somewhere between The Stooges and The Cure, We Are Hex is scratching, creeping, dirty slop – refreshingly raw, honest and urgent—and now responsible for possibly the two most interesting song titles in the brief history of the Third Man Blue Series!

Exact release date and news re: limited edition Tri Color releases of these singles will be made available as confirmed. The songs are currently available for listening on the Third Man Monkey Band at the label’s Nashville record shop, for the price of a quarter.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE TO COMMEMORATE DEBUT REISSUE WITH LIMITED RUN OF NORTH AMERICAN DATES

Queens Of The Stone Age will commemorate the upcoming reissue of its self-titled debut album with a limited series of intimate shows at which the band will play the record in its entirety, plus B-sides and other rarities and hits from the early Queens catalogue up to the present.

The tour, which kicks off  March 16 in Austin TX and concludes April 12 in Los Angeles. celebrates the expanded, remastered re-release of the 1998 classic on Queens’ Joshua Homme’s own Rekords Rekords label. The album will be the first released via a worldwide alliance between Rekords Rekords and Domino Records to market, promote and distribute selected titles from their catalogue.

Tickets for the tour will begin going on sale  February 18. Customers purchasing tickets will have an opportunity to pre-order the CD or LP, and if they choose to do so will receive an instant digital download of the album, directly from Rekords Rekords/Domino–nearly a month before its commercial release.

The record will be released commercially in March at a date yet to be determined.

The genesis of Queens Of The Stone Age-the band and this first album-goes back to the 1995 dissolution of the criminally overlooked Kyuss, specifically founding guitarist Homme’s migration from the California Desert to the Pacific Northwest to work on a new project concurrent with spending time on the road as second guitarist in Screaming Trees. Homme discarded the sludgy low-end expanses of his former band for much tighter song structure (for the most part) and honest-to-goodness capital ‘H’ hooks and what was originally christened Gamma Ray was quickly changed to Queens Of The Stone Age shortly after its 1996 birth.

Homme returned to his old stomping grounds and reunited with latter day Kyuss drummer Alfredo Hernandez to record as a fake trio (bass player “Carlo Von Sexron” is a nom-de-boom for Homme) and QOTSA came into full bloom, releasing the original version of this first album in 1998. If this re-issue doesn’t document “hour zero,” it’s only a few minutes past. “Regular John” introduces Homme as a smooth and assured vocalist with great melodic instinct. Tracks like “Avon” and “Walkin On Sidewalks” lock into heavy riffs that are in entrancing in their repetition and subtle shifts. And it’s hard to believe that insistently catchy “How To Handle A Rope” didn’t make a greater impact on mainstream radio upon its initial release.

The Rekords Rekords/Domino re-issue has been fully remastered from the original tapes and has been expanded by three tracks: “The Bronze” and “These Aren’t the Droids Your Looking For” from the  long out of print 1998 QOTSA/Beaver split EP and “Spiders and Vinegaroons” from the posthumous Kyuss/QOTSA split EP. Listen to album opener, Regular John, here: http://soundcloud.com/qotsa/regular-john

Queens Of The Stone Age will be available on CD (REK001CD), double vinyl LP (REK001LP) and via digital download (REK001D).
