Ultraísta has unveiled its new video, “Wash It Over.” The hypnotic single-shot clip, which features a psychedelic swirl of various colors playing over the visage of Laura Bettinson (who makes up the band with Nigel Godrich and Joey Waronker), premiered yesterday at http://stereogum.com/1240092/ultraista-wash-it-over-video-stereogum-premiere/video/

The “Wash It Over” video arrives moments ahead of Ultraísta’s next series of North American dates, which begin January 23 in Philadelphia and will see the band returning by popular demand to New York and Los Angeles, and making its debut appearances in Chicago, Philadelphia and Toronto.

Ultraísta will record exclusive radio sessions at every stop on the upcoming tour–WFUV in NYC, World Cafe in Philadelphia, Sound Opinions in Chicago and Morning Becomes Eclectic in Los Angeles–and will also make its debut appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, January 29.

ELECTRIC GUEST UNVEIL BRAND NEW VIDEO ON MTV

“THE BAIT” TO BE PERFORMED ON CONAN JANUARY 23RD

Electric Guest’s Asa Taccone’s quirky dance moves have always been a highlight of their videos like the epic “This Head I Hold”– not to mention the band’s frenetic live performances. Now, with their latest music video for single “The Bait”, Taccone takes his trademark moves to a whole new level. The video is an homage to Lars Von Trier’s film “Dogville” also inspired by the US’ 1929 financial crisis. Shot in Paris and directed by Jonas & Francois, “The Bait” sees a vagabond Taccone and his Electric Guestpartner drummer Matthew Compton in an intricate dance number choreographed by the French duo I Could Never Be A Dancer.

Electric Guest is comprised of Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton plus a supporting cast of live players. Ultraísta has confirmed an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon scheduled for Tuesday, January 29. The band’s first ever Fallon appearance will be bookended by a blitzkrieg of a North American tour, including triumphant returns to New York and Los Angeles as well as debut appearances in Chicago, Philadelphia and Toronto.

This latest TV performance and string of dates continue Ultraísta’s campaign supporting its phenomenal self-titled debut, released last year on Temporary Residence Limited and recently turning up on such Best of 2012 lists as Beats Per Minute, Antiquiet and  Crave–who named it their #8 album of the year calling it “progressive synth-pop that you’ve had playing in your mind for years finally come to light.”

The latest Ultraísta remix, “You’re Out” by Prefuse 73–who shares the bill on select upcoming dates–has recently surfaced and can be heard at http://soundcloud.com/ultra1sta/ultraista-youre-out-prefuse73. This newest re-imagining of an Ultraísta track follows in the wake of Four Tet, Matthew Dear and David Lynch remixes featured as bonus tracks on the digital version of the album.

On the heels of their instantly sold out debut live performance and Sundance premiere, Dave Grohl’s SOUND CITY PLAYERS have confirmed that they will commemorate SOUND CITY the film”s January 31 Los Angeles premiere at the Cinerama Dome with a one-time-only L.A. performance that same night at the Hollywood Palladium.

Assembled to play the music created for the Grohl-directed SOUND CITY documentary and its accompanying SOUND CITY–REAL TO REEL album–as well as classics spanning their storied careers–the L.A. configuration of the SOUND CITY PLAYERS will feature Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Lee Ving of Fear, Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Robert Levon Been and Peter Hayes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Alain Johannes, Chris Goss and more joining Grohl and a cast of his current and former bandmates including Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Krist Novoselic, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and other familiar faces for a historic evening.

The SOUND CITY PLAYERS’ Palladium gig commemorates the North American theatrical  premiere of SOUND CITY. A full list of theaters showing the film for ONE NIGHT ONLY–as well as those hosting full theatrical runs– can be found at . International Theaters will be announced shortly.

The film will open theatrically in the U.S. and the world over via cable, satellite, online, hotel and airline on demand operators the following day, February 1, 2013.

North American theatrical will be handled by Variance Films, with on demand being handled by Gravitas Ventures.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced a series of very special events to mark the forthcoming release of their fifteenth studio album ‘Push the Sky Away’ out 19th February on Bad Seed Ltd.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will be presenting their new album live with the accompaniment of strings and choir at a series of one-off launch event shows in London, Paris, Berlin and Los Angeles. Film-makers Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard will also be screening a new short film about the making of ‘Push the Sky Away’. The film features unprecedented access to the working process of The Bad Seeds and unique insights from Nick, the band and producer Nick Launay.

Captured by Panavision Cameras shooting entirely on 35mm film, the fourth installment of Serious Jibber-Jabber with Conan O’Brien, features a candid 75-minute chat with Jack White in a cigarillo smoke filled room.

Serious Jibber-Jabber with Conan O’Brien gives the host an opportunity to take the conversation beyond the time constraints of a broadcast talk show and delve into areas not usually discussed on air.  The interview allows O’Brien and White to have the type of conversation they have not had time to touch on during White’s twelve appearances on O’Brien’s various broadcast shows.

This episode features topics ranging from the time O’Brien and White first met in Detroit, to the relationship between music and comedy, to the importance of not taking the easy way out on any project.  The latter topic is on full display with this one-time use of 35mm film as opposed to standard digital cameras.

Born the youngest of ten children, raised in Southwest Detroit and a resident of Nashville since 2005, Jack White is one of the most prolific and renowned artists of the past fifteen years. In 2009, Jack White opened the doors to his very own record label, Third Man Records, where he has since produced and released more than 120 records in less than three years.

On April 24, 2012 White released his debut album Blunderbuss on Third Man Records/Columbia. Blunderbuss debuted at #1 on the U.S. albums chart–Jack’s first ever recorded effort to do so–and was the highest charting solo debut and biggest selling vinyl album of 2012 in the U.S.. Supported by a world tour met with equal fervor, Blunderbuss also hit #1 in the UK, Canada and Switzerland, and more recently received a GRAMMY nomination for the night’s top honor, Album of the Year as well as Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song Freedom at 21.

The ‘Judge Jury and Executioner’ single will also be available on 12″ vinyl from March 19, featuring exclusive non-LP B-side ‘S.A.D’
