Pandora (NYSE: P), the leading internet radio service, has partnered with Jack White and Third Man Records to live stream White’s sold out Madison Square Garden show this Friday, January 30th, at 9 PM EST/6PM PST via the special Jack White Live Pandora Station. In advance of his Madison Square Garden show, Jack sat down with The Daily Show’s Jordan Klepper to talk about music, the significance of headlining the legendary Madison Square Garden, the origin of Jack’s Third Man label and more. How to listen:
The Madison Square Garden show will stream live at 9 PM EST/6 PM PST on Friday, January 30 and will be rebroadcast afterward on a continuous loop for 72 hours for listeners in the U.S. On February 3, U.S. listeners will be able to hear it all again via a track-by-track archive without a limit on the number of times you listen to a track, along with an exclusive video interview with Jack conducted by The Daily Show’s Jordan Klepper. Individual live recordings from the show will also be added to the Pandora library for listeners in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand.

It’s official: with the final sales week of 2014 having drawn to a close, Jack White’s Lazaretto (Third Man Records/Columbia) is the #1 selling vinyl release of 2014. With 86,707 copies of its ULTRA LP sole vinyl configuration sold in the U.S. since its June 10 release, and a worldwide total exceeding 150,000,Lazaretto not only took the top spot in the 2014 vinyl sales chart—it posted the highest vinyl sales year of the Soundscan era.

These are but the latest records set by Lazaretto: The 40,000 copies the ULTRA LP moved in the seven days following its June 10 release made for the highest first-week vinyl numbers since Soundscan began tracking sales data in 1991. Prior to Lazaretto’s release, a 7″ single featuring a special mono live version of the title track was recorded and released on site at Third Man Records all within a matter of hours onSaturday, April 19th, setting a new record for the World’s Fastest Released Record.

Meanwhile, as Lazaretto continues to dominate readers and critics polls alike, the album has garnered three GRAMMY award nominations including Best Alternative Music Album, as well as Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for its title track. The coroner has determined that Ikey Owens died from a heart attack the morning of October 14 at approximately 4 am. The only drugs found in his room were a small amount of marijuana.

Ikey, born Isaiah Randolph Owens, was a GRAMMY award-winning artist best known for his work with Jack White, the Mars Volta, De Facto and Free Moral Agents, among others. He was a beloved member of the music community as well as his hometown of Long Beach, CA.

It is with great sadness that we tell the world of the passing of the incredible musician Isaiah “Ikey” Owens. He will be missed and loved forever by his family, friends, bandmates and fans.

Ikey Owens was an astounding keyboard player in Jack White’s backing band. He also played with Mars Volta, Free Moral Agents, and many other projects.

Out of respect for Ikey, the remaining shows of the Jack White Tour in Mexico have been cancelled.

We will all miss you Ikey. You were and are an incredible artist.

The first 2015 dates of the ongoing campaign will be a historic January 30 Madison Square Garden headline engagement in New York City, preceded by a January 28 appearance at Bridgestone Arena in Jack’s Third Man Records home base of Nashville. Last week, MusiCares announced Jack will be joining a host of talented musicians – including his friends Neil Young, Beck and Norah Jones – to celebrate the genius of Bob Dylan during their 25th annual MusiCares benefit gala in Los Angeles.
