Today, Gorillaz share the remix for ‘Tranz’ by Poté. The track, taken from their acclaimed album ‘The Now Now’, has been reworked by the St. Lucian-born, London-bred artist. It is transformed into a club ready jam, touched with his culture-merging sound and love for drum and percussion work.

The Poté Remix follows the release of the transformative ‘Tranz’ clip directed by Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett. Gorillaz have collaborated with G-Shock on GORILLAZ X G-SHOCK – a limited edition collection of new watches designed for band members 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs – available later this year.

A chance meeting in Tokyo this summer between G-Shock creator Mr. Ibe and Noodle, longtime admirers of each other’s work, led to a conversation about art, life, music and fulfilling their mutually aligned intergalactic goals… The result? Our intrepid gang of four (including Murdoc, recently released from HM Prison Wormwood Scrubs) set off for Galaxy M101. Their mission? To play a gig in space and take G-Shock extraterrestrial… Watch how it all went down here in this short film art-directed by Jamie Hewlett, with French directors collective BRVTVS.

Gorillaz will return to North America next month for further dates on The Now Now Tour to include a headline slot at the band’s own acclaimed Demon Dayz Festival.  The “joyful apocalypse… and carnivalesque festival of great performances” (The Guardian)”, curated by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, will make its exclusive appearance for this year at the Pico Rivera Arena in Los Angeles on 20th October. About BRVTVS: BRVTVS is a French directors collective created by Thibaud Clergue, Aurelien Duhayon & Sebastien Iglesias

They met together at the 3D animation French school SUPINFOCOM where they did two graduations films, “Azul” and “Contre-temps”. Pushed by the passion of making movies they’ve decided to create the collective and make their first independent short film “HORDE” followed one year later by the movie clip “THE LAST GOODBYE” for the Canadian musician “PILOTPRIEST”. Both of the films received a very warm reception from internet and festivals.

The three directors worked in a lot of different projects individually for companies in London and Paris before joining Feed Me Light. Collectively they have developed various skills like concept design, 3d & 2d animation, modelling and illustration. This diversity of domains make the strength of the collective, as it gives them an independence in projects and an availability to manage all the parts of a film.

Final Run of North American THE NOW NOW Tour Dates Begins October 8 in Toronto

Gorillaz have shared a new music video for Tranz, taken from their acclaimed album ‘The Now Now’ out now on Warner Bros. Records. Watch here.

Marking the characters’ first ever live performance video and first live performance since 2010’s unforgettable MTV EMA performance, this eye-popping film sees Gorillaz vocalist 2D command the stage against a backdrop of mind-altering visuals alongside bandmates Noodle and Russel Hobbs, with GangreenGang’s Ace on bass standing in for the incarcerated Murdoc Niccals.

The transformative ‘Tranz’ clip is directed by Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett and co- director Nicos Livesey, with support from the extraordinary animation specialists Blinkink and Paris-based creative production powerhouse Eddy and combines classic hand-held animation, stop-frame needlework and claymation for a wavy ride. 

Following a summer of exceptional live festival dates across the UK and Europe, Gorillaz are now gearing up for The Now Now tour’s final run of North American dates, which will include their very own Demon Dayz LA Festival in Los Angeles on 20^th October. The festival, curated by Damon Albarn & Jamie Hewlett, will see the band joined onstage by special guests including De La Soul, Peven Everett, Jamie Principle and Del The Funky Homosapien. Gorillaz celebrate the unforgettable summer of 2018 with the release of two new remixes – Humility (DJ Koze Remix) and Humility (Superorganism Remix), available to stream and download on all DSPs now.

The collaboration has resulted in two new remixes of ‘Humility to soundtrack the heatwave. Zeitgeist-surfing music collective Superorganism infuse the song with their indie-pop magic alongside a new visual remix of the Jamie Hewlett-directed video featuring Superorganism frontwoman Orono. And joining the party is underground superstar DJ Koze, with his own unique spin on the track.

Gorillaz have confirmed the full lineup of guests joining them for the inaugural U.S. staging of their Demon Dayz festival, taking place Saturday, October 20th at Pico Rivera Sports Arena & Grounds just 10 minutes from downtown Los Angeles.

In addition to Gorillaz’ only west coast appearance of 2018 and triumphant return following the sold out 2017 Forum show the Los Angeles Times called “a dance party for a world gone mad,” Demon Dayz LA promises an experience like no other: An eclectic lineup of special guests and collaborators from within and beyond the Gorillaz extended family, plus an assortment of surprises, attractions, exclusive merchandise and more—all combining to create an auditory, visual and physical version of the Gorillaz universe for fans to explore.

A brand new studio album from Gorillaz titled The Now Now will be released by Warner Bros. Records on June 29th, and is available for pre-order now with two instant great songs, “Humility” and “Lake Zurich.”

The Now Now is 11 all-new songs from the World’s Most Successful Virtual Act*, produced by Gorillaz, with James Ford and Remi Kabaka, and recorded entirely at Studio 13, London in February this year.

In contrast to the cast of characters that joined the apocalyptic party thrown by Damon Albarn and his cartoon crew on last year’s multiple-GRAMMY-nominated HUMANZ , The Now Now sees the band largely eschewing guest stars, taking it back to the core Gorillaz crew: blue-haired, sweet-natured dreamer 2D on vocals;  whip-smart Japanese badass Noodle on guitar; Brooklyn-born philosopher and the meat–behind-the-beat Russel Hobbs on drums. And with Murdoc Niccals temporarily indisposed, bass duties on the new album have been taken up by erstwhile Gangreen Gang member Ace (explaining the “FREE MURDOC” signage that’s been popping up everywhere from Coachella to the Kentucky Derby to Change.org and Reddit).

A sun-drenched new video for “Humility”—the single premiered today on Zane Lowe’s WORLD RECORD on Beats 1 on Apple Music–starring a roller-skating 2D and a busking Jack Black, was directed by Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett and filmed entirely in Venice Beach, California last month – watch it here.

Gorillaz also announced they will bring The Now Now Tour to North America this fall, produced by Live Nation, and culminating in the U.S. debut of Gorillaz’ own acclaimed Demon Dayz Festival. The “joyful apocalypse… and carnivalesque festival of great performances” (The Guardian)” curated by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, promoted and produced by Live Nation – will make its exclusive appearancefor this year at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena & Grounds in Los Angeles on October 20^th, just 10 minutes from downtown L.A.

The Demon Dayz L.A. lineup will be comprised of special guests and collaborators from within and beyond the Gorillaz extended family. Information on ticket sales and additional attractions will be announced shortly.

In a first for Hobbs, the collaboration will see the Brooklyn native –  Gorillaz’ resident scryer and the meat behind the beat – step up to the microphone, joined by stellar list of Gorillaz friends including Jehnny Beth, De La Soul’s Pos, Peven Everett, Little Simz and Cheick Tidiane Seck, for a series of conversations from the other side.
