“Saturday”s nearly two-hour set proved Arcade Fire might be the most arena-ready band to come out of the hip punk-weaned underground since U2.” – MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE

“Even a decade ago this band”s music was made to fill arenas… Given new life with Arcade Fire”s larger touring band, each build, piano run and yell felt bigger while at the same time as intimate as it must have when kid-Butler wrote it.” – DENVER POST

“Arcade Fire still knows how to engage and entertain their fans and give them a show they won”t forget.” -KANSAS CITY STAR

“Like art-rock stars Radiohead and R.E.M. before them, Arcade online casino Fire creates a new sonic and aesthetic world every couple years. Nowhere was that more apparent than at Nashville”s enormodome Thursday night.” – NASHVILLE SCENE

ARCADE FIRE: “WE EXIST”

http://smarturl.it/WeExist

Arcade Fire © JF Lalonde (LOW RES)

Arcade Fire’s video for “We Exist,” starring Andrew Garfield in a narrative that begins in a nondescript locale and concludes live on stage during the band’s second weekend headline set at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, can now be viewed in its entirety at http://smarturl.it/WeExist.

“We Exist” is a 6:18 long story of one young person’s struggle with gender identity set to the soundtrack of the second track from Arcade Fire’s Reflektor album. The band’s Win Butler has described the song as “about a gay kid talking to his dad,” specifically coming out to his straight father, and  has introduced it during recent live performances with the statement, “The right to marry anyone you want is a human rights issue.”

ARCADE FIRE CONFIRM L.A. HEADLINE SHOWS

AUGUST 1 & 2 AT THE FORUM

TICKETS & REFLEKTOR TOUR UPDATES AT http://arcadefire.com/

AF

In the wake of-well in the midst of-a second Sunday night main stage closing set at this year’s Coachella festival, Arcade Fire has confirmed two new Los Angeles headline shows, August 1 and 2 at The Forum. Local and Facebook Pre-Sale is April 24th from 10am-10pm PST. General On-Sale is April 26th at 10am PST.

As with every date on the worldwide Reflektor Tour named for the international #1 album, these two newly announced additions will prove unlike anything Arcade Fire-or any other artist-has ever staged in an arena setting. No two shows are alike, as any given night can find the band shattering the barrier between audience and performer, making red carpet arrivals, joining the audience in pre- and post-show dance competitions and more.

As for the performances themselves, the Reflektor Tour’s dazzling production, multiple stages, captivating visual effects, and sprawling setlists spanning the entire AF catalog plus regular surprises has been generating universal raves, most recently from last week’s Coachella headlining triumph:

“Arcade Fire’s high-quality collection of towering rock songs was typically thrilling… Butler has evolved into the consummate frontman of a headlining act over the band’s decade-long ascendance”BILLBOARD

“Arcade Fire was ruthlessly efficient in supplying big-tent indie rock… they’ve become the best arena-rock band to break out of the mid-aughties indie-rock bubble.”ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

“The curfew didn’t stop the band from carrying on… Each member of the group grabbed an instrument (with Butler on megaphone) and weaved through the audience as the crowd sang the ‘ooh, ooh, oh oh oh oh’ portion of the show-ending single ‘Wake Up.’ The singalong carried on until the band eventually slipped away behind the fence, and even then a sizable crowd kept on ‘ooh ooh-ing’ as the festival shut down around them. That’s the way you end a fucking show.”LA WEEKLY

“a nice reminder that dance music almost always sounds better onstage when it’s coming from a big band, immaculately mixed… Arcade Fire’s second Coachella headlining set did underline its status as maybe the most significant live rock band to emerge from North America in the 2000s.”THE LOS ANGELES TIMES

“Arcade Fire’s lengthier performance was even more riveting and easily the best of the fest… They weren’t about to go gently into the good night, either, ultimately performing their stirring anthem ‘Wake Up’ well after the PA had been shut off… It was a fitting, prayerful finish to what almost felt like a religious experience… Arcade Fire transcended everything”OC REGISTER

Transforming the world’s biggest arenas into unique and locally flavored carnivals, Arcade Fire will continue to provide Reflektor Tour revelers with an evening like no other. Showing up early and staying late are recommended. For a full list of remaining dates, see below and continue to check back at http://arcadefire.com/ or http://www.livenation.com/

ARCADE FIRE ADD tUnE-yArDs & LOST BAYOU RAMBLERS TO DATES ON NEXT LEG OF REFLEKTOR TOUR

Arcade Fire © JF Lalonde (LOW RES)

“It was the band’s first Detroit show in 10 years… and it more than made up for lost time. It was a thorough, fully-realized outing that will be remembered as one of the best concerts of the year.” — DETROIT DAILY NEWS

“You won’t find too many basement parties with a high-tech array of lights and video, an overhead truss paneled with mirrors, a hydraulic satellite stage or, for that matter, the space to accommodate the dozen musicians who beefed up Monday’s proceedings.” — DETROIT FREE PRESS

“The showdown was a reflection of something spontaneous, righteous. and awe-inspiring on every level of imagination, and Arcade Fire delivered the goods, and they did it with style.” — GET OUT LOUISVILLE

“Saturday’s nearly two-hour set proved Arcade Fire might be the most arena-ready band to come out of the hip punk-weaned underground since U2.” — MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE

“Arcade Fire is a sonic wonder and does this whole arena thing with a sly artistic sensibility that you don’t get from any old band.” — PITTSBURGH POST GAZETTE

In the midst of the wildly successful and warmly received Reflektor Tour, Arcade Fire are excited to announce that Lost Bayou Ramblers and tUnE-yArDs will be added to dates on the tour’s run though the southern U.S. (see exact dates below).

Barely a week and a half into their colossal globe-spanning Reflektor Tour, Arcade Fire are proving these shows are unlike anything they–or any other artist– has ever staged in an arena setting. Audiences attending the Louisville opener, the massive Minneapolis, Detroit, and Pittsburgh shows, and the completely sold out Toronto blowout have experienced dazzling production featuring multiple stages and captivating visual effects, pre- and post-show dance parties, a sprawling setlist spanning the entire AF catalog, and of course, appearances from the familiar Reflektor bobbleheads.

No two Reflektor Tour shows are alike: Early reports have seen the band shatter the barrier between audience and performer, from red carpet arrivals to joining the audience in pre-show dance competitions. Additionally, Arcade Fire has been paying homage to each city’s musical heritage with exceptional covers of Prince in Minneapolis, Stevie Wonder in Detroit, Constantines in Toronto, and more.

Transforming the biggest arenas in the U.S. and Canada into unique and locally flavored carnivals, Arcade Fire will continue to provide Reflektor Tour revelers with an evening like no other. Showing up early and staying late are recommended. For a full list of remaining dates, support, etc., see below.
