Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold Tour has added seven new headline dates to its North American itinerary.

The North American leg of the tour supporting the international #1 album Concrete and Gold (Roswell Records/RCA Records) has further expanded its 2018 itinerary with a run of new arena headlines beginning October 8 at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix AZ and running through October 18 at the XCel Energy Center in St. Paul MN. Tickets for the new dates are on sale to the public as of  Friday, January 26 at 9am Local Time (* with the exception of Detroit, which goes on sale Thursday, January 25 at 11am local time).

Capital One® Cardholder and FF Fan Pre-Sale tickets will be available as of Tuesday, January 23 at 10 am local market time. Pre-Sale tickets will be available until Thursday, January 25 at 10 am local market time or until they are sold out. Pre-Sale tickets are limited to (4) tickets per card. While supplies last.

The tireless Foo Fighters have just begun 2018 in style, with their just-underway stadium tour of Australia and New Zealand. The first U.S. leg of the Concrete and Gold Tour wound down 2017 by storming through sold out arenas in Richmond, Greensboro, Cincinnati, Sioux Falls and more, with Foo Fighters consistently reaching new peaks of their estimable powers: The Herald Whig in Champaign IL raved “the energy didn’t slow down at all during the near-three-hour set… If you get the chance, make sure you don’t miss out. You won’t regret it,” and the Argus Leader called the Foos’ first Sioux Falls appearance in decades “musical genius,” reporting that the band “blew away the crowd… pulling off a performance no one in the audience will forget… delivered the classic rock concert their fans know and love.”

For further updates on the 2018 Concrete and Gold Tour, continue to check www.foofighters.com.

Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee.

U2: Broken Fingaz Crew Create Ominous Animated Video for “Get Out Of Your Own Way”

Broken Fingaz Crew Create Ominous Animated Video for U2’s “Get Out Of Your Own Way”

Broken Fingaz Crew, the fearless Israeli graffiti collective whose provocative, groundbreaking and often disturbing fluorescent sketches were among the first street art in their native Haifa, have directed U2’s new video for “Get Out Of Your Own Way.” Broken Fingaz Crew’s animated realization of the song can be viewed here.

Known only by the pseudonyms that preserve their anonymity with local authorities–Unga, Tant, Kip and Desco—the enigmatic Broken Fingaz Crew approached U2 with the concept of an animated visualization of the second single from the band’s new Songs of Experience. After a successful collaboration on U2’s video for “American Soul,” the band were inspired to give Broken Fingaz Crew full creative control based on their impassioned interpretation of “Get Out Of Your Own Way.” The result reaffirms Broken Fingaz Crew’s standing as artistic and social pioneers emerging from an underground of their own creation.

Broken Fingaz Crew described the mission statement of their  “Get Out Of Your Own Way” video as follows:

“The video addresses the current political situation: 2017 for us was the year fascists worldwide felt confident enough to raise their heads again, encouraged by Trump and other world leaders, who use people’s fear to build more walls and segregation.

The song is both a personal letter and a clarion cry to the global situation, and in the same way, we’ve combined our psychedelic pop style with political imagery; shot entirely analogue, using paper cut and stop motion animation techniques in collaboration with Adam Albo, who edited the video.”

In other U2 news, the band have announced the UK/Europe leg of the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour 2018, with new dates to go on sale January 26th. For a full confirmed routing and further information, go to U2.com or see below:

Parlophone Records have announced the release of Falling from Graham Coxon, a new recording available on digital download and limited edition 7” vinyl – in support of The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

Falling was written by talented unknown songwriter and dedicated father Luke Daniel, who after a long fight with chronic pain tragically ended his own life last year. To mark what would have been Luke’s 45th birthday, Graham has recorded a new version of the track featuring on a double A side, which includes Luke’s original recording. Part of the proceeds of Falling will go to The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

In releasing the tracks, Graham aims to reach out and give hope to everyone directly affected by this epidemic, their friends, family and loved ones as well as help raise awareness of CALM’s groundbreaking work in leading the fight to remove the barriers surrounding male vulnerability, which prevent men in crisis from seeking help.

Falling is available on digital download, streaming services and 7” vinyl.

“Their best album in years.”— USA TODAY

U2’s 14th studio album, Songs of Experience (Interscope), has now become the band’s eighth album to hit #1 on the Billboard 200, making U2 the sole group to score #1 albums across four decades: The 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.  Songs of Experience’s first week sales of nearly 200,000 equivalent albums since its December 1 release represent 2017’s biggest first week numbers for a rock band.

Songs of Experience’s release was celebrated with a December 2 appearance on Saturday Night Live, featuring the band playing “Get Out Of Your Own Way” and “American Soul.”

The trailer for the “Get Out Of Your Own Way” video can be seen HERE. The full video will premiere in the coming days.

Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. will debut songs from the critically acclaimed new album alongside classics spanning the entire U2 catalogue on the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour beginning in North America in May 2018. Just as Songs of Experience serves as a companion piece to 2014’s Songs of Innocence, the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour will serve as a sequel to 2015’s iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour which saw “U2 reinvent the arena show” (Rolling Stone) and was named the #1 concert of 2015 by The New York Times. With demand for tickets necessitating second dates in San Jose, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC, the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour will kick off Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Tulsa OK at the BOK Center. (December 1st, 2017) Already hailed as a triumph in early critical notices, Songs of Experience, the 14th studio album from U2, is released today by Interscope Records in the U.S. on CD, vinyl, digital download and across streaming platforms.

Songs of Experience’s release has been heralded by first single “You’re The Best Thing About Me,” as well as album tracks “American Soul” and “Get Out of Your Own Way,” and “The Blackout,” the latter recently released as a special Record Store Day limited edition 12” vinyl single on Third Man Records. GORILLAZ: “Andromeda” (featuring D.R.A.M.) – New Version of GRAMMY-Nominated Track Out Today

GORILLAZ

“Andromeda” (featuring D.R.A.M.)

New Version of GRAMMY-Nominated Track Out Today

From HUMANZ Super Deluxe Box Set

In the wake of Gorillaz’ GRAMMY nominations earlier this week–Best Dance Recording for “Andromeda” (featuring D.R.A.M.) and Best Alternative Music Album for the international chart-topping Humanz (Warner Bros.)— Gorillaz is releasing a single of the version of “Andromeda” featured on the Humanz Super Deluxe Box Set.

The “Andromeda” single release and twin GRAMMY nods cap off a triumphant 2017 U.S. campaign for Gorillaz, arguably the most successful 12 months on these shores ever experienced by the world’s most successful virtual band—beginning in January, with the inauguration eve surprise release of “Hallelujuah Money” (featuring Benjamin Clementine). The launch of the mixed reality Gorillaz app then allowed fans to hear the album for the first time as part of the largest ever worldwide geo specific listening experience bringing people together across 500 locations from Tokyo to Santiago, while  ‘Saturnz Barz (Spirit House) – the six-minute Jamie Hewlett-directed epic animated film featuring four Humanz tracks made history as YouTube’s highest debuting 360 video.

Humanz arrived April 28, bowing at #1 on the U.S. album chart and #2 on the Billboard 200, topping the iTunes charts in more than 60 countries around the world, and generating critical raves including:

“A party record for the apocalypse”—BILLBOARD

“The sum of its parts is what makes Humanz so brilliant, as the cartoon Gorillaz deliver yet another classic to the real world”—BUST

“A wild party that we can’t wait to join”—ELLE

“Humanz finds the band with a new sense of purpose…a timely and real reflection of an internal conflict that so many of us can relate to right now: sometimes you need to be engaged, and shout, and fight. But sometimes, you just need to keep on dancing.”—THE FADER

“the most vibrant, consistently engaging Gorillaz album yet… a rallying cry for humanity that only a cartoon band could deliver.”—PASTE

“Damon Albarn’s virtual band is back with its most ambitious album to date… it sounds like a party at the end of the world”—PEOPLE

“Rings in the Apocalypse in Style… Damon Albarn’s cartoon pop band brings guests from across the pop spectrum to prove once again why they’re the most interesting rap-rock crossover act ever”—ROLLING STONE

“Gorillaz resumes its terrifically inventive career with Humanz…the diversity and sheer number of vocalists give the album its freshness and swagger. Engaging performances abound… whatever problems there may be in the world, on Humanz (Damon Albarn’s) counsel is to continue to dance with joy. Gorillaz’s new music makes it possible to do so.”—WALL STREET JOURNAL

The Humanz world tour began with the band’s own inaugural Demon Dayz festival June 10 in Margate UK and continued with Gorillaz’ first North American live shows in seven years – which sold out in record time and were met with rapturous response, as Gorillaz drew their biggest ever stateside crowds to the likes of Red Rocks, Golden Gate Park, Citi Field in New York,  the Forum in Los Angeles and more. The Humanztour soldiered on through Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and is currently making its way through the UK, with further dates in Latin America and Europe on the horizon.

EVERYTHING NOW Presents: ARCADE FIRE “Put Your Money on Me” & “Creature Comfort” 12” Singles Now Available For Pre-Order

EVERYTHING NOW Presents

ARCADE FIRE “Put Your Money on Me” & “Creature Comfort” 12” Singles Now Available For Pre-Order

Featuring A-Sides From The GRAMMY-Nominated Album EVERYTHING NOW & Exclusive Non-LP B-Sides

Pre-orders are open as of today for two new Arcade Fire 12” vinyl singles: “Put Your Money on Me” featuring the exclusive B-side “Put Your Money on Me (Windows 98 v.1.0),” and “Creature Comfort” also backed with an exclusive non-LP B-side “Comfort My Sleng Teng (Geoff Barrow Mix).”

Both singles will be released January 19, 2018 and feature A-Sides from the band’s global #1 album Everything Now (Sonovox/Columbia), which has been nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Alternative Album category.

Arcade Fire recently wrapped up the North American leg of its Infinite Content Tour with a November 3-4 two-night stand at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto that had the Toronto Star describing the band as “attacking every note and every grand pronouncement as if its very collective life depended on it. Arcade Fire is as good as it’s ever been right now. Period.” NOW magazine added “They didn’t crowd the stage – they filled it… Their exuberance hasn’t worn off… as this show reaffirmed, they’re going to be an arena band for a long while yet.” Critical response similarly matched crowd elation at every date of the Infinite Content North American trek, with highlights including:

“This band seriously knows what they’re doing onstage… Arcade Fire gigs are transformative, again and again. You should see them wherever you have a chance to.”—Stereogum

“Irony, sincerity, whatever—it all sounds amazing… an immediate reminder of how they’re still one of the best bands in the world.”—The Independent

“A celebration of the best working rock band in the world.”—New York Daily News

“It’s a tricky thing, of course, to make 17,000 people feel like you see them in the same way you once reached out to touch 500, but in a show that spread 23 songs over two hours of passionate performance the group managed to do just that. Part of that came through the creative production… but the strongest ties between stage and stands remain the pure power of Arcade Fire’s songs, the music and lyrics pulling everyone into a shared communion of the human spirit that lives within these notes and words.” – OC Register

“Not just anthemic but transcendent… there’s no better way to experience that effect than on stage.”– Chicago Tribune

“A joyous affair… unflagging energy… makes their live presentation one of the most thrilling you’ll find.”—Atlanta Journal-Constitution

“Astonishing creativity and nonpareil production made the show an uninterrupted marvel… the concert proved that Arcade Fire remains an imposing contender for the title of the world’s best rock band.”—Kansas City Star

“Glorified the virtue of being present, awake, and alive… the band performed as if they were fighting for the very survival of indie rock… there was a unifying sense of optimism at the heart of theses songs and this performance.”—City Pages

“By the end of the night, the crowd had danced, cheered and, in some cases, cried itself to the point of exhaustion”—Las Vegas Weekly

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE

“THE WAY YOU USED TO DO” VIDEO NOW AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE

APPEARING ON THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW DECEMBER 14th

After previously being available exclusively through Apple Music, Queens Of The Stone Age have unleashed the wickedly entertaining video for “The Way You Used To Do” for all to see.

Written by Joshua Homme, directed by Jonas Akerlund and produced by Serial Pictures, “The Way You Used To Do” features a dance-fueled Satanic fever dream that only Queens Of The Stone Age could possibly deliver, set to the equally devilish yet nonetheless contagious first single off the band’s new album Villains— out now.

Joshua Homme on the unique collaboration with Akerlund:

“Dancing and headbanging are truly individualistic expressions of losing oneself fully in appreciation of music—who better to combine these things into a singular vision than someone who’s directed Madonna and Lady Gaga videos–and also happens to have been a member of Bathory?”

Not enough Villains for you? Catch Queens Of The Stone Age as they make a special appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show December 14th. Check your local listings for specific air times.

Capping off the expansive and world-dominating Villains 2017 tour with a performance at the sold-out KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas next month, the band will be ready to obliterate 2018 with the latest slew of confirmed dates which are all currently on sale EXCEPT for Austin. Onsale for that date begins today, Nov. 17th at 10am local time.

See below for the full itinerary and of course stay tuned to qotsa.com.
