The last hurrah before the global shutdown available as an epic concert film and live album.
LINDEMANN “Live in Moscow” the full and uncensored concert recorded on March 15th 2020, out on May 21st 2021.
It was a spectacular farewell to a bygone era, the last great pre-Covid blowout: On March 15th 2020, Rammstein singer Till Lindemann and Swedish multi-instrumentalist and producer Peter Tägtgren took to the stage at Moscow’s VTB Arena with their project LINDEMANN to play two triumphant shows, recorded for posterity and captured visually by filmmaker Serghey Grey.
On May 21st 2021, the already legendary Moscow event will be released as a live album and concert film in a total of five physical formats. Fans can choose from a 2LP edition, as well as DVD, Blu-ray, and a special CD + Blu-ray edition, housed in a hardback digibook with 40-page booklet. Of particular note is the super deluxe box set, numbered and limited to 4,000 copies worldwide, containing the special edition album, two wearable masks with the faces of Till Lindemann and Peter Tägtgren, five art prints and a certificate of authenticity. “Live in Moscow” will also be available digitally (audio and video).
“Live in Moscow” finds LINDEMANN taking the listener and/or viewer on a dizzying ride through material from their two albums “Skills In Pills” and “F & M”, which have sold hundreds of thousands of copies globally. Highlights include “Fish On,” “Knebel,” “Frau & Mann,” “Steh auf,” “Platz Eins,” “Praise Abort,” and “Gummi”, to name just a few, with the English lyrics of the first album mixing perfectly with the German on the follow-up. In Till‘s unmistakable voice, everything sounds like LINDEMANN-speak anyway – and, as the Moscow crowds singing along at the top of their lungs would agree, that is an international language.
“Live in Moscow” makes the close of another era, as Till Lindemann and Peter Tägtgren agreed in November 2020 to move on from LINDEMANN and to dedicate themselves to other, separate projects. “Live in Moscow” is a memorial to the singular combination of two exceptional talents and the unique musical entity they created together.

The feature-length documentary film WHAT DRIVES US, directed by Dave Grohl and produced by Foo Fighters, is now available to stream in the U.S. exclusively on The Coda Collection — a unique, subscription streaming offering featuring an exclusive, curated selection of iconic music documentaries, concert films, and episodic series via Prime Video Channels, paired with a complementary website exploring new perspectives on music. WHAT DRIVES US is also available outside of the U.S. via Prime Video in select global markets at no additional cost to the Prime membership (full list below). To stream WHAT DRIVES US and learn more about the film, click HERE.
To celebrate the release of WHAT DRIVES US, Grohl appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week to discuss the film and deliver a special performance of X’s “Nausea” with his daughter Violet, Nirvana co-founder and bass player Krist Novoselic, Slayer and Misfits drummer Dave Lombardo, and acclaimed producer Greg Kurstin. Watch now HERE.
In addition to being available via a subscription to the Coda Collection on Prime Video Channels in the US, WHAT DRIVES US is available on Prime Video at no additional cost to the membership in the following countries: Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Austria, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Belize, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Spain, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Monaco, Mexico, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Paraguay, El Salvador, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela, and South Africa.
“This film is my love letter to every musician that has ever jumped in an old van with their friends and left it all behind for the simple reward of playing music,” said Dave Grohl. “What started as a project to pull back the curtain on the DIY logistics of stuffing all of your friends and equipment into a small space for months on end eventually turned into an exploration of ‘why?’ What drives us?’”
WHAT DRIVES US is an homage to the moment in every musician’s life when their commitment is tested and their desire to play music for others becomes an almost irrational act of blind faith. The first step to prove to yourself and the world that you belong is to load up your instruments, your talent and your courage, and get in the van to take your music to the world — a true rock and roll rite of passage. The documentary is also a tribute to every young kid who dreams of a life playing music. Dave was that kid. As were Ringo Starr, The Edge, Annie Clark, Steven Tyler, Ian Mackaye and everyone in between. The list goes on forever. While they all have stories — outrageous, unbelievable, insane, as well as poignant stories — they all share a common bond. At some point, before anyone knew their name, they had an unstoppable drive to share their music with the world. Their passion led them to leave everything behind, throw caution to the wind, and chase their dream.
WHAT DRIVES US follows young bands RadKey and Starcrawler who are taking on the world one town at a time, while also telling stories of the biggest artists in the music industry, recalling the romance and adventure, as well as the insanity and chaos, of their own time on the road. The film explores what it takes to turn a van into a home, and how the tricks of this trade have been handed down through the decades. There was a time before the digital age when players had to take the music to the people one show, one overnight drive, one dilapidated little club at a time. While the world has changed, the rite of passage has not. There is no other first step on the path to making it in music. You have to get in the van.
The film features interviews with an array of iconic figures spanning eras and genres, including: Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, Pat Smear, Ringo Starr, Flea, Brian Johnson, St. Vincent, Slash, Duff McKagan, Ben Harper, The Edge, Mike Watt, Ian Mackaye, Starcrawler, RadKey, Exene Cervenka, Tony Kanal, DH Peligro, Charlie Gabriel, Jennifer Finch, Dave Lombardo, Kira Roessler, Pete Stahl, Lars Ulrich, and Steven Tyler.
A Roswell Films / Therapy Studios production, WHAT DRIVES US was directed by Dave Grohl, produced by John Ramsay, James A Rota, Mark Monroe, and Foo Fighters, and edited by Dean Gonzalez. Jessica Young was the director of photography and Brandon Kim was the sound designer and mixer.

ABOUT DAVE GROHL: Dave Grohl has been one of the most beloved and respected figures on the international music scene since his recorded debut with Nirvana on 1991’s generation-defining Nevermind. Grohl took center stage with Foo Fighters’ 1995 self-titled debut, the first album in a massive 12-Grammy-winning catalogue, including the band’s most recent release Medicine at Midnight (2021). Grohl has a well-earned reputation as a prolific collaborator through his work with Paul McCartney, Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age, late legends David Bowie and Lemmy Kilmister, as well as Mick Jagger, Neil Young, Elton John, Nine Inch Nails, Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen, to name a few.
In 2013, Grohl made his debut as a feature director/producer with the acclaimed documentary Sound City about the Van Nuys CA studio where Nirvana recorded Nevermind in 1991, which would sell more than 30 million copies and transform the modern musical landscape. Premiering to unanimous raves at Sundance and achieving a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating, Sound City focused both on the history of the legendary studio and on the ongoing fight to preserve the human element of music. Grohl also directed the eight-part HBO docuseries Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways, which premiered in October 2014 and went on to win two of the four Emmys for which it was nominated (outstanding sound mixing for nonfiction programming and outstanding sound editing for nonfiction programming).
FIRST SINGLE “DELICATE BUTTERFLY” FEATURING LUCIUS OUT TODAY – LISTEN HEREDEBUT ALBUM BLUE MARBLE SKY OUT JUNE 4TH VIA SONY MUSIC MASTERWORKS
JOMORO is the alias of the musical merger of…
Joey Waronker – Veteran drummer of session and live renown with the likes of Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash, Adele, Beck, Roger Waters, Air and R.E.M., and full-fledged member of Ultraista and Atoms for Peace, the latter of which also featured bandmate…
Mauro Refosco – International percussionist hailing from Brazil to Broadway—specifically David Byrne’s American Utopia—with additional credits ranging from Vampire Weekend and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Dirty Projectors, Bebel Gilberto and Caetano Veloso, among others.
Whereas the two have recorded together before—notably alongside Thom Yorke, Flea and Nigel Godrich on Atoms For Peace’s #2 charting album AMOK—with JOMORO Joey and Mauro build their own world at the crossroads of the electronic and the percussive. The expanse of the duo’s musical realm is mapped throughout the sonic geography of its debut album, Blue Marble Sky (Sony Music Masterworks): a 12-track travelogue that transports the listener to aural environs ranging from the tranquil Brazilian rainforest to bustling city streets, with occasional breezy pop detours along the way.
The album is preceded by first single, “Delicate Butterfly” featuring Lucius and currently available across all platforms – LISTEN HERE. The single is the direct result of the pair reaching back to the pre-genesis of JOMORO: a live soundtrack they created for Rag & Bone’s Fall/Winter 2016 New York Fashion Week show. “Delicate Butterfly” fleshes out an original instrumental framework and adorns it with the vocals of Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius. The end product is a heavenly harmonic duet that flutters off into the ether like a choir at the edge of the galaxy.
“Delicate Butterfly” is both first single and second taste of JOMORO’s debut, as it follows last month’s soft release of the instrumental track “Mirror” – LISTEN HERE.
Blue Marble Sky was written, played and produced by Joey and Mauro, who made the most of their pandemic downtime trading files bi-coastally, and enlisting collaborators such as bassist Gabe Noel (Kendrick Lamar, Kamasi Washington), trumpeter Michael Leonheart (Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars) and multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Mooney (Other Lives). The album was divided into vocal tracks, instrumental tracks and Brazilian tracks, its numerous highlights including the gorgeous downtempo “Nest” featuring Sharon Van Etten, the pulsating baile funk textures of “Until We Equal” featuring Brandon Markell Holmes, a pair of tracks featuring popular Brazilian songstress Karina Buhr and more.
Blue Marble Sky will be released June 4th via Sony Music Masterworks.

“an impressive list of friends, fans and new pals providing their spin on the songs from the album McCartney recorded entirely by himself in quarantine” —BILLBOARD
“Paul McCartney Remains Cool and Relevant… remains cool as ever and still has his finger on the pulse of today’s music scene.” —INSIDE HOOK
Hailed upon its release last year as “vital and comfortable taking new chances” (ROLLING STONE) and “cheery, resilient, forever looking forward” (THE NEW YORKER), Paul McCartney’s McCartney III is now literally moving into the future in the form of McCartney III Imagined, released digitally from April 16 on Capitol Records, with physical formats available for pre-order now.
Personally curated by Paul, McCartney III Imagined features an A-List assortment of friends, fans and brand new acquaintances, each covering and/or reimagining their favorite McCartney III moments in their own signature styles. The result is a kaleidoscopic reinterpretation – one that serves as an extension of the instantly beloved McCartney III while standing on its own as a brilliant and adventurous milestone in the McCartney discography.
Advance offerings from McCartney III Imagined have included “Slidin’” by Ed O’Brien (EOB) who described the experience as “a moment of light in the darkness of the winter that’s just been,” Beck’s “Find My Way” that saw him “take the song completely somewhere unexpected,” and Dominic Fike’s cover of “The Kiss of Venus” which “switches up the acoustic ballad into a futuristic R&B jam” (BILLBOARD).
McCartney III Imagined will make its TV debut May 3 when Dominic Fike performs his already universally acclaimed version of “The Kiss Of Venus” on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Originally released December 18, 2020, McCartney III is the third in a trilogy of home-made and self-titled albums that began with Paul’s 1970 solo debut McCartney, and continued in 1980 with McCartney II. All three albums were written, performed and produced by Paul in varying states of isolation, all showcasing his unique creativity and inspired spontaneity. Recorded in “Rockdown,” McCartney III topped album charts across the world, scoring Paul his first UK#1 album in 31 years – increasing his lead as the UK’s most successful chart act of all time.
McCartney III Imagined continues the tradition of the biggest and most diverse names in music covering Paul’s songs — an ever-expanding lineup that ranges from more recent versions by Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Dave Grohl, Coldplay and The Cure, to interpretations over the years from the likes of U2, Guns N’ Roses, Earth Wind & Fire, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Joe Cocker, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles and so many more. McCartney III Imagined is a testament of Paul’s enduring and unmatched influence, a legacy that stretches from “Yesterday” being the most covered song in contemporary musical history to the inspiration his current work continues to hold for generations of artists and fans.
McCartney III Imagined physical formats are also available for pre-order, with their release following this summer, including exclusive color vinyl editions available at Target, Barnes & Noble, Indie record stores, Newbury Comics, and PaulMcCartney.com. From Saturday Night Live to Saturday Morning vibes: St. Vincent’s vintage visual take on “The Melting Of The Sun” has been unearthed from Candy’s Music Video Archives — in the form of a video co-directed by St. Vincent and Bill Benz, paying animated tribute to the song’s lyrical icons, rendered in Schoolhouse Rock-esque style by Chris McD.
St. Vincent’s unveiling of the sultry show stopping new ballad to her April 3 return to 30 Rock Studio 8H followed the live debut of the “digitized primal scream” (The New York Times) of “Pay Your Way In Pain.” “The Melting Of The Sun” is the second track to be released in advance of her forthcoming Daddy’s Home.
The SNL rendition of “The Melting Of The Sun” also featured the network TV debut of the newest model of the St. Vincent Signature Ernie Ball Music Man Guitar, equipped with new design elements crafted to suit the 70s-influenced sonics of Daddy’s Home. Both tracks were brought to life with a band comprised of Justin Meldal-Johnsen (bass), Jason Falkner (guitar), Rachel Eckroth (keys), Mark Guiliana (drums), Nayanna Holley, Sy Smith and Neka Hamilton (backing vocals), the tour de force performance eliciting an appropriately energized response from the media:
“St. Vincent brought some old school art-rock theatrical glamor to her two songs… I got some Bowie, some Talking Heads, maybe a touch of Gaga and (dare I say) Madonna—a potently bracing combination.”—AV CLUB
“…dazzling…The shapeshifting singer-songwriter, born Annie Clark, oozed of 1970s glamour during her memorable performances” —BILLBOARD
“… this performance, with its retro ’70s rock aesthetic, truly rules… this is top notch.”—ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
Daddy’s Home was produced by Annie Clark and Jack Antonoff, recorded by Laura Sisk, mixed by Cian Riordan, and mastered by Chris Gehringer. The music was performed by Annie, Jack, Cian, Thomas, Evan Smith, Sam KS, Greg Leisz, Daniel Hart, Michael Leonhart, Lynne Fiddmont and Kenya Hathaway.
Daddy’s Home will be released May 14 by Loma Vista Recordings. Pre-Save the album now, or pre-order your choice of 8-track (if you know, you know…), CD, Vinyl, Deluxe Vinyl, and Cassette. Or visit https://lnk.ilovestvincent.com/Shop to pre-order exclusive picture disc, merchandise and more.
SECOND SERIES OF STREAMING SHOWS FROM THE ARCHIVES
January 16, 2008 Impromptu Club Gig at London’s 93ft East to Kick Off Seven-Week Run Friday April 9
Radiohead announces a new series of archival live shows to be streamed from the Radiohead Public Library vaults. Each edition will premiere on Radiohead’s YouTube channel Fridays at 8pm BST for seven weeks beginning this Friday, the 9th of April.
The first of the new episodes will be a seldom-seen January 16, 2008 In-Store-performance-turned-impromptu-club-show from London’s 93ft East.
The January 16, 2008 show was originally intended to be an In-Store performance at London record store Rough Trade East to mark the conventional release of the In Rainbows album—a plan that went awry when hordes of fans and overwhelming media coverage caught the attention of the local authorities. The entire production had to be torn down and a replacement venue found on a moment’s notice. The show ultimately happened at 93ft East, a club with a capacity of a few hundred that was thankfully available for the night. The result was an electric and intimate Radiohead performance like no other, one largely unseen since—until now.
In other news, for a limited time Radiohead will be making available a Radiohead crew T-shirt — the same original shirts distributed to touring and local crew — with proceeds benefitting a range of stage & crew organizations supported at #WeMakeEvents. DEY STREET BOOKS TO PUBLISH NEW BOOK FROM LEGENDARY MUSICIAN DAVE GROHL
Dey Street Books, an imprint of the William Morrow Group at HarperCollins, announced today that they will publish THE STORYTELLER by Grammy-winning musician, documentary filmmaker, and fledgling author Dave Grohl. Dey Street VP and Editorial Director Carrie Thornton negotiated the deal with WME. Grohl is managed by Silva Artist Management. The book will go on sale October 5, 2021 and will also be published in UK & Commonwealth (Simon & Schuster), Finland (Bazar), Germany (Ullstein), Holland (A.W. Bruna), and Italy (Rizzoli).
Dave Grohl has been one of the most beloved and respected figures on the international music scene since his recorded debut with Nirvana on 1991’s generation-defining Nevermind. Grohl took center stage with Foo Fighters’ 1995 self-titled debut, the first of 10 albums in a massive 12-Grammy-winning streak, most recently including the #1 album sales charting Medicine at Midnight. Grohl has traveled the planet doing the thing he loves most—playing rock n roll marathons for tens of thousands of ecstatic Foo Fighter fans. But when the pandemic necessitated going into lockdown, Grohl took stock of how he might use this moment of pause. Channeling his creativity into writing and using his remarkable skill for storytelling, in May 2020 he wrote a moving reflection for The Atlantic on missing the thrill of live music during the Covid era that went viral. Then, ending a longstanding self-imposed exile from social media, Grohl’s new Instagram account @davestruestories was born. This new platform became a way for Dave to share his extraordinary (and funny) stories with fans and fellow music nuts and now, Grohl is set to build upon that momentum with his first book.
Grohl’s new book is as much a celebration of music as it is about the moments that have molded him into the man he is today. From hilarious childhood mishaps, touching family moments, leaving home to see the world at eighteen, to spectacular stories about Nirvana, Foo Fighters, David Bowie, Joan Jett, Iggy Pop, Paul McCartney, playing drums for Tom Petty on Saturday Night Live, performing at the White House, and even swing dancing with AC/DC, with all love, laughs, loss, and embarrassments along the way, THE STORYTELLER is a fascinating look at a life lived loud.
“There is a common thread that runs throughout everything that I do: storytelling. Whether in song, documentary film or on the page, I have always felt compelled to share moments from my life. This inclination is a huge part of what excites me creatively but also as a human being. In March 2020, realizing that my day job with the Foo Fighters was going to go on hold, I started an Instagram account (@davestruestories) and decided to focus all of my creative energy on writing some of my stories down, something I love doing but I’ve never really had the time for. I soon found that the reward I felt every time I posted a story was the same as the feeling I get when playing a song to an audience, so I kept on writing. The response from readers was a soul-filling as any applause in an arena. So, I took stock of all the experiences I’ve had in my life-incredible, difficult, funny and emotional-and decided it was time to finally put them into words. Now with the amazing people at Dey Street books I’m excited and honored to announce THE STORYTELLER, a collection of memories of a life lived loud. From my early days growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC, to hitting the road at the age of 18, and all the music that followed, I can now share these adventures with the world, as seen and heard from behind the microphone. Turn it up!” Grohl says.
“From the second I saw Dave’s first post on Instagram, I knew I was going to publish his book. Well, to be honest, I’ve been hoping to publish Dave Grohl’s book since I became a book editor. I’m a Gen-Xer. I’m from Virginia just like Dave. We grew up listening to a lot of the same music. I’ve always admired his Puckish personality and his awesome musicianship. It turns out that he can write with as much energy and passion as he performs. Plus, he’s a spectacular human who cares deeply about his mom, his family, his bandmates, music, art and the world. All of that passion comes through in his stories and in THE STORYTELLER. I am a lucky editor indeed, but mostly because I get to read the book first,” says Thornton.
DAVE GROHL is a 16-time Grammy-winning musician and 2-time Emmy-winning director.
Dave Grohl has been one of the most beloved and respected figures on the international music scene since his recorded debut with Nirvana on 1991’s generation-defining Nevermind. Grohl took center stage with Foo Fighters’ 1995 self-titled debut, the first album in massive 12-Grammy-winning catalogue that now includes The Colour & The Shape (1997), There Is Nothing Left To Lose (1999), One By One (2002), In Your Honor (2005), Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (2007), Wasting Light (2011), Sonic Highways (2014), Concrete and Gold (2017) and, most recently, Medicine at Midnight (2021).
Grohl has a well-earned reputation as a prolific collaborator: His various endeavors have included “Cut Me Some Slack,” written and recorded with Paul McCartney and Grohl’s Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear; Them Crooked Vultures, formed with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones and Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, late legends David Bowie and Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, as well as Mick Jagger, Neil Young, Elton John, Nine Inch Nails, Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen, to name a few.
In 2013, Grohl made his debut as a feature director/producer with the acclaimed documentary Sound City. Named for the Van Nuys CA studio where Nirvana recorded Nevermind in 1991, which would sell more than 30 million copies and transform the modern musical landscape. Premiering to unanimous raves at Sundance and achieving a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating, Sound City focused both on the history of the legendary studio and on the ongoing fight to preserve the human element of music. Hailed by Peter Travers of Rolling Stone as an “exhilarating documentary about what makes life worth living,” by The New York Times as “candy to several generations’ worth of rock fans” and NPR as “a celebration of just how unbelievably awesome it is to make rock music for a living,” Sound City has since been certified as a Gold Longform Video by the RIAA, while the Sound City—Real To Reel companion album took the 2013 Grammys for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Rock Song (“Cut Me Some Slack”).
Described by Grohl as a love letter to the history of American music, Sonic Highways was comprised of eight one-hour episodes, each chronicling the creation of one song on Foo Fighters’ Sonic Highways album, each written and recorded in a different American musical landmark — Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

Released just ahead of St. Vincent’s return to Saturday Night Live this weekend, the brand new “The Melting Of The Sun” is available across streaming and digital platforms.
“The Melting Of The Sun” is the second track to be released in advance of St. Vincent’s forthcoming Daddy’s Home, out May 14 on Loma Vista Recordings. The latest taste of the new album’s gritty 70s vinyl vibe, “The Melting Of The Sun” pays lyrical homage to a cast of St. Vincent inspirations — musical, personal and other:
So sorry missed the party
Hello on the dark side of the moon
Jane lost it crashed her corvette
Ran into the tide in Malibu
And we all heard the gun but I was slow to run
It’s just the melting of the sun
It’s just the sun
I wanna watch you watch it burn
So watch it burn
Saint Joni ain’t no phony
Smoking reds where Furry sang the blues
My Marilyn shot her heroin hell she said it’s better than abuse
So who am I trying to be? A benzo beauty queen
It’s just the melting of the sun
It’s just the sunI wanna watch you watch it burn
So watch it burn
We always knew the day would come
The day has come
It’s just the melting of the sun
Brave Tori told her story
Police said they couldn’t catch the man
Proud Nina got subpoenaed singing “Mississippi good goddamn”
But me I never cried to tell the truth I lied
Girl the world’s spinning round
Spinning down and out of time
Girl you can’t give in now
When you’re down down and out
Girl the world’s spinning round
Spinning down and out of time
Girl you can’t give in now
When you’re down down and out
