Last week’s first sold-out headlining show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom was an exhilarating event. Jon Pareles of The New York Times lauded “the lean, confident, sleekly retro pop songs… Electric Guest’s songs were about the here and now. It’s recession-era pop, husbanding its most valued resources and worrying, tunefully, about the way ahead.”
