The band’s current tour–which stops tonight at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles–and the March 6 release of new album Milk Famous (tbd Records) were preceded by a March 1 performance of single “Temporary” on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN–and followed by a wave of critical acclaim:
“The lyrics are full of foreboding… that’s only escalated by the music as it keeps ratcheting up its precise, percussive tension”–THE NEW YORK TIMES
“Very talented musicians… they have their own sound, very inventive moments in all their songs, and you’ll hear that right off the bat…” — Bob Boilen, NPR
“Milk Famous is consistent in the one way White Rabbits needs to be: At all times, it’s adventurous (A-)”–THE ONION AV CLUB
“Few bands put more thought into constructing their rhythm beds than White Rabbits. They dont rock so much as seduce…” — DRUM!
“Fusing a variety of intriguing textures to a tight ever-shifting grooves that emphasizes a thick, post-punk bass line”–ROLLING STONE
The Milk Famous tour kicked off the same day as the record’s release in Philadelphia, with a sold out DC show following the next day. White Rabbits will continue on, making stops at some of the largest venues the band has headlined to date including the Metro in Chicago, and Webster Hall in New York, before concluding April 14 in Boston.
White Rabbits are Stephen Patterson, Alex Even, Gregory Roberts, Jamie Levinson and Matthew Clark.
